IN MY FATHER'S HOUSE . . .

After the profound declaration of the Apostle John in the opening verse of his gospel that Jesus is the Word of God, and is God, later identifying Him (verse 14) as coming out of God to be flesh and then tabernacle among us, in verse 3 attributes all of creation to Him.
Picture for a moment in your mind, the abode of God without any created thing around Him – just Heaven without a natural environment. No front yard, no back yard, no side yards, no fields, no mountains, etc. God’s front porch was outer space.
Psalms 33:6 very plainly teaches that “by the word of the Lord were the heavens made” and in verse 9 “for He spoke and it came to be; He commanded, and it stood firm forever.” God’s front porch was now creation.
Jesus comforts His disciples in John 14:2, “In my Father’s house are many rooms, (dwelling places) I am going to prepare a (dwelling) place for you.” and is followed by one of the most profound statements in the Bible concerning His future return to earth, “and if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me.” The same Lord that spoke the worlds into existence, and then came into it as a baby to be the Lamb of God, also promised to return after His departure to take (rapture) us to be with Him – forever!
In Revelations chapter 21:1-3, John tells of a new heaven and a new earth without a sea. The Holy City, the New Jerusalem, came down out of heaven from God. A loud voice proclaimed, “Now the dwelling of God is with men, and He will live with them. It further promised He will be their God and they will be His people. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away. Jesus was seated on the throne and said, “I am making everything new!”
I firmly believe that the prophecy of Daniel’s seventieth week is about to begin. This will bring about the Rapture of the Church, (the gathering of the redeemed to heaven), then the invasion of Israel by Russia and their defeat, then the identification of the antichrist.
I’m rapture ready!
